Why a New “Appetite-Control” Product May Turn the World of Weight Loss on its Head

The stream of new diet products is seemingly endless. However, take a longer look at most of these so-called new products and you quickly see that most are just recycled ideas, and bad ideas at that.

And today, the Internet only makes it easier for clever marketers to sell any old product and make outrageous claims about its effectiveness and safety.

So it’s truly rare to find a diet product that is new, safe and effective. But a California Company has recently launched a new product that may just fit the bill.

Called Sensa, it’s actually a food sprinkle that has been clinically proven to convince the brain to stop overeating. It’s tasteless and odorless, contains no stimulants and does not directly interact with the digestive system – which means there are no unpleasant side-effects. None of the horror stories associated with “fat-blockers” or stimulant based weight loss systems.

The theory behind the product is simple. It’s obvious that we eat too much, but why? It turns out that’s the way our brains are programmed. Throughout our evolutionary history, food has been scarce, so in order to ensure survival, humans have been conditioned to eat as much as they can whenever food is available. Unfortunately, when food is abundant and rich in calories, as it is today, the results can be ugly.

Enter Dr. Alan Hirsch, intrepid doctor and scientist whose lifelong specialty has been to understand how our senses, and in particular, smell and taste affect the brain’s functioning. Dr. Hirsch noticed that many of his patients who had lost their sense of smell and taste due to illness or accident experienced rapid weight gain. Certain smells and tastes seemed to be acting on the brain to control the appetite.

Dr. Hirsch studied hundreds of compounds and after years of research he developed a set of virtually odorless and tasteless food sprinkles, which he called “Tastants” that had a powerful impact on the body’s appetite-control center. Then, in one of the largest studies of a non-prescription weight-loss system, these Tastants were tested for effectiveness as a means of weight loss.

The results were significant. Over a 6 month period, 1,436 women and men sprinkled flavorless “Tastant” crystals on everything they ate, and lost an average of 30.5 pounds – nearly 15% of their total body weight.

Moreover, participants achieved these results without having to follow any special exercise regime or diet.

According to Dr Hirsch, “With Sensa, you can eat all the foods that satisfy your senses and you don’t have to deal with any intense food cravings or feelings of starvation. Sensa merely helps you eat less of the foods you love and gain greater satisfaction from smaller portions.”

Real weight loss without diet and exercise – too good to be true? Apparently the company anticipated a somewhat skeptical response from consumers so they have introduced the product through a special Free Trial Offer that lets you try it before paying for it.

About solomonhealing

Diane grew up in Oregon, and says she can’t remember a time when she wasn’t singing. Her father gave her a guitar for Christmas when she was 13, and she taught herself folk and country styles, and started to write songs. At 19, believing her first talent was acting, she headed off to England, determined to study acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. But life can take some funny turns. Before she could arrange an interview, she was literally “discovered,” playing her guitar and singing to a small, private, New Year’s Eve party at a London hotel. IMG_0005 2A BBC television producer was there, a screen test followed, and the result was a network primetime series of variety specials! “The Diane Solomon Show” of the late 70s, was a great success, and she quickly became a regular on British TV, with other specials of her own, and numerous guest appearances, including several Royal Gala Specials. She recorded 5 albums, appeared on countless radio shows, TV hosting, and musical theater productions. She headed four major UK Theater concert tours of her own, toured with Glen Campbell on three European tours, and opened for a major Kenny Rogers’ tour in 1991. IMGBut then life took another turn, this time not so fortunate. She was diagnosed with the infamous M.E., or Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and for the next three years was too ill to walk across the room unaided. For a total of seven years she struggled with half a life. In the darkest hours songwriting was her saving grace, and the title cut of her new CD, “Good Things Don’t Come Easy” was born of this troubled time. With the help a brilliant German homeopathic system of healing, plus nutrition and herbs, she regained her health. Diane was so impressed with these alternate therapies that she has since gained degrees in both nutrition and homeopathy, achieving a doctorate degree from the British Institute of Homeopathy. She practiced nutrition and homeopathy for fifteen years, using a combination of nutrients, herbs, homeopathic remedies, and diet and lifestyle recommendations. She describes dealing with people’s health issues as a kind of “onion layer” experience. Herbs, nutrients, and lifestyle changes are powerful, yet are in some way addressing the outer layers. They help enormously, but she has found that the major changes in people’s health comes from a deep homeopathic remedy, known as the constitutional remedy. Homeopathy is not an exact science, and thought, attention, focus, intuition, and yes, luck are involved in finding this remedy. When the right deep remedy is chosen, improvements in a client’s well being, both physically and psychologically, can be dramatic, even life-changing! Now focusing on writing, Diane lives in beautiful Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, with her husband, Mark Carey. She writes soft country, folk, and classical ballads, playing both guitar and piano. She has written several non-fiction books fields of nutrition and homeopathy, plus has ghost-written and/or edited seven books for clients, in various fields. She has just finished a middle grade mystery/fantasy novel with her husband Mark, entitled The Ravenstone: The Secret of Ninham Mountain, due for publication Sept 30 2016. Kindle cover final oct 10 2015She has also recently published a book on Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, entitled, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome: a guide to the homeopathic treatment of CFS/M.E. It was published in November, 2015, and was quickly the top selling book on Amazon in the homeopathic category. Sometimes called a “Renaissance Woman,” she writes, edits, researches, designs and builds gardens, always seeking more knowledge, more understanding, and more creative flow.

  1. Andrea says:

    Thank you for this post.
    It makes sense to me.
We certainly have misfiring synapses telling us to eat more, faster.
So of course, if we can help the brain fire in a way that makes sense given the context we now occupy, it could be wonderful.
A great thing is that the brain is malleable so it can change. I’d guess that the ‘sprinkles’ have a potential for long term positive adaptive shifting in the way we receive messaging about food potion size. In theory, this would mean it is a product that is designed the way good products should be (In my humble opinion, of course.) Meaning that the product is purchased, does its job and then renders itself obsolete.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if it really works?
I’m on board. I’ll try it also and keep you posted.
Thank you for what you do.

  2. I don’t get it, why most people have wrong idea what is “diet”? After all, they are wrong, and they can’t understand why they fail because they don’t understand that they are wrong… (sorry if it doesn’t make sense, i am kinda sleepy tonight).
